We had a very fine meeting yesterday evening. After singing 'Tis a Gift to be Simple', and 'checking in' by sharing what's going on for each of us, we spent the evening continuing our conversation about some of the issues we're dealing with. Among the issues were i) ethical shopping ii) Bill 18, the anti-bullying bill, which includes a provision for schools to have GSAs, when requested. iii) concern about yesterday's city council decision to route the Rapid Transit extension through the Parker wetlands and aspen forest. iv) scheduled meeting with Chickadee on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 6:30, regarding Idle No More, and how we can be effective allies.
We also enjoyed tea and wonderful cookies (made with organic ingredients), thanks to Maureen's generous hospitality. Thanks so much, Maureen.
